Vegan Omega-3 – Plant-based source of EPA & DHA
Omega-3 fatty acids are a group of polyunsaturated fats that include EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Both are present in our Vegan Omega-3, derived from sustainable algae oil and completely plant-based.
Unlike most Omega-3 supplements, which are made from fish oil, our formula goes directly to the original source: algae. This avoids the use of large quantities of fish and helps protect marine ecosystems. The algae species we use, Schizochytrium sp., is cultivated in a controlled environment and produces a pure oil naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
The production process is designed with sustainability in mind. A byproduct of cultivation is converted into biogas, which is used to generate electricity and thus contributes to the reduction of CO₂ emissions.
For stability, we add vitamin E. This protects the sensitive fatty acids from oxidation and helps maintain freshness.
With a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA, these fatty acids contribute to the normal function of the heart. DHA also contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision.*
